Do short shift kits really hurt the trans?
I drove another german car that had a VERY short shift kit and I loved it. Do these kits hurt the trans because I really like the short shift?

I've noticed that the 1-2 shift is much quicker with mine, and it seems that I can out-shift the syncros on a hard 1-2 shift. I've been driving stick for 15 years, I don't think it's my technique. I've also had 2 other friends experience the same thing. Could just be my car tho.

two known problems with MT that are way more evident with an ssk: -the 1st gear closed gate issue (really weird, you know what I mean if you have it) -"out shifting" the syncros on the 1-2 shift I thought it was just me until I searched and saw 20+ threads for both
