UK8 thoughts...

Just a quick few thoughts about UK8.

I was thinking after the washout at the POD but everyone enjoying it and wanting to go again, about hving UK8 at Santa Pod in May time or something?

End of May or something?

Just an idea.

To me it was going to be Northern Meet 2. Paul and Nic suggested UK8, as there seems to be quite a lot of interest. Really don't mind what it's called TBH. If folk want it to be UK8, Northern Monkey Fondling Fest, Curry Appreciation Meet, UK7 and a half...whatever!

Bet you're not. You shouldn't set those usual high standards. Feel free to point out my spelling errors as they will happen!

As for Santa Pod - how easy would it be to scrub out rear tyres or is doing standing 1/4's not that hard on them?

If we're doing B roads and a nice pub lunch I'm ya girl to organise it, done lots of MGOC runs and we can even have commemorative plaques for the cars!

None of this "cruising" lets keep it chic and classy with lots of fun and hoonage, show our American friends how to run a car run.

Not for me - it's too soon and too far for us "oop north" - I can see the meets being North and South divided if it carrys on. MIDLANDS is where the meets should be IMO.

why not call it something else, or we could get to where "now thats what i call music" is now the numbering sequence.

you could call it something like "bedfordshire bash" or "Santapod salsa" or "poddington parade" no numbers, just a catchy name even "Fandangos foray" sounds good, just my 2p

Unless your Smokey-Fandango, you don't really use up the tyres at all. Bit of unwanted wheel-spin, then just hard acceleration. With the 997T having 4x4, you'll blitz it Helen

Northern meet 2 is what it was called initially, and it should remain so. It isn't supposed to be a national meet and doesn't have the numbers - IMO.

Besides, even "the North" is south for me.
