ACS Roof Spoiler

Can anyone confirm how exactly the ACS roof spoiler is placed? Meaning, does the portion closest towards the roof mount over the black window trim??? Or is it placed right below it? Also on the sides, I noticed when test fitting the spoiler, it is just short so that it does not completely overlap the window trim on the sides. Also, those who have completed this mod, did you use only 3M tape or did you apply betalink as well? I have heard a mixture of things. Can anyone chime in on this? Want to complete this tonight. Thanks in advance.

There should be a groove underneath the spoiler that will allow it to sit on the gutter. It will not reach completely on either side so there is supposed to be a small gap there for the gutter. I recommend going with 3M double sided tape, it's more than adequate to hold the spoiler on and lets you remove it in the future.

Nick, thanks for the response. The spoiler came with to strips of 3M tape attached on to raised beads. Is that the only place that needs to have the tape? Unless I under estimate the strength of this stuff, I just fear that it will come off. LOL I have a heat gun. And I hear it is best to warm up the area and tape to get it really to stick. Is this correct???

No pics but you don't put tape in the slight recessed area in the middle, rather you need to cut thin strips of tape and make a rectangle surrounding the recessed area. Hope this helps.

No worries. I had the sticker indentation part puttied over as well. Didn't want to stick any tuner stickers on the car.

And I used silicon glue to glue the spoiler on.
