We'll start with a $100 dollar bill.

A packet of one hundred $100 bills is less than 1/2" thick and contains $10,000.

$1 million dollars (100 packets of $10,000)

$100 million

$1 BILLION dollars

Next we'll look at ONE TRILLION dollars. This is that number we've been hearing so much about. What is a trillion dollars? Well, it's a million million. It's a thousand billion. It's a one followed by 12 zeros.

You ready for this?

It's pretty surprising.

(And notice those pallets are double stacked.)

So the next time you hear someone toss around the phrase "trillion dollars"... that's what they're talking about.

Holy shit that's a lot of money!! I mean it is because none of us has that kind of money (or even close to it). But when it comes to running a country as big as the US, $1 trillion does look a little small.

Ever wonder how quickly things could be resolved if America's Mega rich people just gave a couple million each instead of donating to charities all over the world? Bill Gates continually drops millions, sometimes billions into his charity and he could prolly cut the U.S. deficit almost by 1/4 just by himself and still have money left over.

Not that I'm saying the rich should shoulder everything, but damn things could be nearly solved in a few weeks if they just changed the recipient on their donations.
