Changed out the nasty yellow oem halos

Well, I just completed my first mod.

I definitely had a slight case of buyer's remorse for not getting the xenons. Ok, maybe not slight.

After spending a significant amount of time looking into the possibility of retrofitting xenons, I decided it's just not worth it.

I purchased some MTecs (E92-Lighting - - THANK YOU!) and installed the low beams today. Pretty easy to do after you do the first one. The high beams?? Could not figure it out. Got the cover off and couldn't get any further. Will re-attempt tomorrow. The directions (especially the pictures) in the manual - suck. After I get the high beams in I'm switching out the fogs. I just haven't decided how I want the fogs to look yet. Bright white or yellow. I saw some posts with the yellow fogs and really thought it looked sharp.

Anyway, without further ado, and because I know that

First two before - - - next two after.

My 06 330i is my first BMW and I didn't know it had xenons to begin with. I want to change out my angel eyes and also the stock oem xenons to 8000k xenons. BTW Cab5er that clip you have is funny...what movie is it from?

That is exactly what happened to me. This is my first BMW. Never really paid attention to the headlights, saw pictures of the angel eyes and xenons and just assumed they were a standard feature. My previous car was an Acura TL - - xenons are STANDARD. Why make xenons an option. This seems ridiculous to me. I've never met, or read a post from, someone who prefers the halos over the xenons.

The rant continues. . . . too many options on the BMW. By this, I mean that once you determine exactly what you want (color, options, etc.) it is damn near impossible to find this car on any lot. For example, my current car has most of what I was looking for (sport, cold weather, premium, sport steering wheel, logic 7, interior/exterior color combo, comfort access, ipod/USB adapter) - No idrive and no xenons - . My local dealer found this car on a dealer search from 2 states away. Next time - ED (and a 335ix - doh!)

Every time I take a closer look at my car I see something new. So now I'm shopping for 8000k xenons to replace my 4300k oem ones. The prices on xenons are over $100 a pair. Regardless....my 330i is a joy to drive.
