not my fault man.. frikking td.. last time i was in canada i went to close my bank account and they didnt do it.. so this time when i came back my credit is down the drain... frikking td...

RBC now sells "pre-paid" Visa credit cards now at the branch, go and buy one yourself then buy it from the US...its called Visa gift cards, no credit history needed, no credit check

the pre paid cards have a limit of $500 however, so i guess you might need to buy 2

erm.. will shops allow that? i mean like if i get something thats like 3k i have to use 6 visa's? wish we had a sponsor here in toronto i can just meet and give cash to..

semi off topic.. when i applied again they looked at my bank account my hosue and what im driving (had 90k in there, rented apt, gtr) they said dont worry you will get approved lol..

yep shops should allow that, the visa gift cards work just like any other visa card, so if the store or the merchant allows visas as a method of payment, they should accept the visa gift card with no problems

fyi, i work in credit dept in a bank (not TD), but from what you have listed above ($90k cash, rented apt, GTR), i think the main concern is that there is no house as asset and your GTR (assuming you paid in full for it already) sadly is an asset that is losing value (somewhat debatable, but from a creditor's eyes, a car is a car and it's losing value), but it depends on how much of your income is going towards repaying debt and living expenses, (credit cards, line of credits, paying for rent, mortage payments, car payments, etc)

with only so limited info on you financially, its hard to say why they declined your application for visa, from what i heard, TD is actually one of the easier banks to get credit from, their lending criteria is less strict compared to the other big banks...

we are going so OT, but you can actually call TD to ask why you were declined, as they should be able to tell you...
