HID vs. LED Angel Eyes. Looking for BRIGHTNESS.

So, I finally figured out how to get my angel eyes replaced. I bought HID angel eyes bulbs and the color is white but NOT BRIGHT AT ALL. The stock amber eyes are brighter. Makes me wonder if should have gotten LED angel eyes? My goal is to run the angel eyes as daytime running lights so I'm hoping to get a good deal of brightness but maybe it's not possible? Any one know which way to go on this? I'll switch 'em to LEDs if I can get 'em brighter. I've searched the threads but haven't found this answer. Thanks....

What HID bulbs did you buy? Don't tell me you bought into those crappy halogen "HID / xenon" bulbs with a thick blue coating on the glass......

wait, you bought hid angel eye bulbs and they are NOT bright? are you sure you actually bought hid angel eye bulbs? because usually hid are quite binding, which mean you pretty much cannot see it with your own eyes unless your a bit away

I'm pretty sure he meant halogen. Just that nowadays, it's hard to find any halogen packaging without the "HID" printed on them. They sure make things more confusing, unless you're getting a ballast with the light, they're merely just halogen with a blue tint on them.
