I would definitely take the Camaro out of these three, but I have to say that the Mustang is looking like an unusually good pick. Just look at the stats it posted! That's amazing for a Mustang.
Looks-wise, I say it's basically a toss up. They're all good looking in their own regards. I think the Challenger needs better wheels. Interior-wise, I'd actually give the win to the Mustang judging from pics, but I like how the Camaro is unique, if not all that appealing looking on the inside. The Challenger posted pathetic numbers. It's completely outclassed by the other two. Lets see a comparison that throws the Camaro, Stang and 370Z together! That should be interesting.

^ I agree the mustang's interior looks the best, the camaro's just looks too low rent to me. they're all nice but given that my 135i was $36125 msrp and I got it for $33898, I just could never justify one of those

With headers and cams the Camaros are going to be making 450 rear wheel or more I bet.

so funny how that car is done with its dyno run right where an M3 would really start to make noise. that is a lot of power in that car.

The results were expected. The Challenger is a hog, which keeps in proper muscle-car tradition, but you had to expect GM to set their sights above the Mustang. They had to, or they would lose their collective ass on this car. Shame on them for taking until 2010 for this though. I'm seriously pissed about that. I would have considered it while shopping for the 335.... I actually drove a Challenger SRT8, and my buddy has a Mustang GT, but the 335 was a whole different experience. The Challenger handles similar to my '68 GTO, and the Mustang still feels like the rear is sprung with spongecake. Now that the Chevy gets IRS.... It's a good car. I am impressed.

From an aesthetic perspective I'm really liking the Camaro and Mustang. I'll reserve judgement on ride/handling but the numbers speak for themselves. Thumbs up for the two cars.
As for the Challenger? Meh. Don't care much.

Put simply, the Challenger is outclassed from almost every aspect - pricing, weight, acceleration, handling, braking, and interior.

Camaro is BY FAR the best choice. Challenger inteior is so ugly and cheap ITS UNREAL. Mustang is so overpriced and underpowered.

It's the same price as the Camaro (once you've got the track pack on it) and it's considerably slower. The supercharger will cost a fortune and still not get you as much power as you're getting with the Camaro. Not to mention the Mustang's live axle. That's not a dealbreaker for me personally, but they're asking a lot of coin for a car without IRS. |
