Wheel gunk?

Hey guys,

What's the best way to get the brake dust/tar off my wheels? I can scrub most of it off but some specks are still left on there. I really need to wax it up but I don't want to seal that junk in there. Any ideas?

Thanks!

What solution do you use to clean your wheels? You ever give P21S wheel gel a try before?

The search feature is your friend but I can help!

If normally washing and agitation with an APC does work. You can clay the rims and then wipe down and seal. I just did mine last night and sealed with Opti-Seal and Rejex, I want to see which lasts longer.

Thanks guys. I just wasn't sure what to try. I've just been using car wash solution and soft scrub sponge. It gets the recent stuff off, but you can tell some is worked into the clear. Hopefully something else will work. I'll check out the wheel gel, thanks!

When all else fails, use rubbing compound (you can buy this OTC, like Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound). Apply by hand with a foam applicator. Last resort, but it will work.

P21S works great! I also clay my wheels a couple times a year. Really helps IMO.
