INGEN intake installed in RHD - Issues with FORGE DV's

Finally got around to installing this tonight. Overall very happy with the service from the vendor & all the bits and pieces were supplied correctly.

Only issue was it does not seam to fit with FORGE DV's, the connector pipe on the front DV gets too close to the cone & the front DV touches the intake.

As I did not have a suitable saw for cutting the hose that came with the DV's I elected to re-install the stock DV's and play with it later.

So questions for others;

a) has anyone managed to get the Ingen intake to fit with the Forge DV's & if so what did you do?

b) can I substitute the hose that came with the Forge DV's to something softer, so it bends more easily? The second pic shows how the stock DV hose bends nicely so it gives more space for the intake.

A couple of iphone pics are attached, I was in a rush as I'm getting ready for a track day tomorrow and needed to sort out a couple of other things.

Cheers,

S

just cut the dv hose shorter, its too long to begin with, and with the power steering canister in stock location the hose pushes on it too hard.

I tried one evening after a few glasses of vino and could not get it to install easily, it was mainly due to lack of light and the instructions in black and white.

So I had bobby email me the instructions in colour and gave it a go in day light and it took maybe an hour all up. This included the time needed to remove the forge dv's.

Yes I was thinking of trying that or getting a more pliable (bendy) hose. My concern with the latter is does the DV hose need to be re-inforced

Must say though I had 5 x 20 min sessions at the track today (9-11 laps each) and no issues related to the intake.

Good to hear.

Would you be kind enough to post some pics or PM them to me, just trying to ascertain where my issue lies.

Cheers,
