Anyone ever heard/used Hancook tires??

I'm getting my 19" wheels this week and one of the big shop here in sacto offers the Toyo and Hancook. I've heard of Toyo but not Hancook.

I'm thinking of 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R. Is this good enough?

Any info on the ride qualities and experience on Hancook is appreicated. They're about $200 cheaper.

Thanks!!

I have a set of Hankook winter tires. They do the job...no complaints. I havent heard bad things about their all season tires.

I believe Hamann use hankook as their technology partner (see http://www.hamann-motorsport.com). So it should be good.

Personally, I use Toyo T1R and pretty satisfied by it.

Good point Asiann, either Michelin or Bridgestone.

lol its hankook (meaning korean). I have them on my 19in iForged i just got like 2 days ago. Ride is really soft compared to 17" RFT. the road noise is a slightly more pronounced but only if you drive around with no tunes on. I would say its definitely worth the 200 buck savings over Toyos.

correct me if I mess up but I heard that each Hancook tire comes with a signature of the person who inspect the tire for quality. That is what I called tight

they might have stopped doing this but in the past I know they implemented this...

It sounds to good to be true - but I have seen a lot of people recommend hancooks - and the price is amazing.

Why not give em a go?

Hankooks are very popular in Quebec with the after market and tuner/racing community. The tires have a good reputation and the price/value equation is in their favor. If you are looking to save some money without compromising quality, you should give them a try.

They are Korean, whereas Toyos are from Japan.

Thanks guys. I went with Hancook. I like Toyo too but I went with Hancook cuz of $200 in savings. They look and feel just as good as Toyo thus far.

Definately softer ride than the RFT.

Korean engineering Vs. Japanese...interesting. I have a lot of respect for JDM products, personally.

My dad had a set on his explorer 8 years ago. Nothing special, but they were cheap, very cheap. No idea about current company products.

I have Toyo T1R's. I did a lot of research, Hankook didn't have as good reviews. I believe that the Ventus 112 or something was highly rated for dry, but sucked in wet conditions.

Check out 1010tires.com for user reviews.

My winters are hankook, and I've had no problems with them. Handle well, definitely run well in snow. Zero problems in snow, even running 18's
