Hey everyone,

i've been browsing a lot of sites and i've come across numerous LED taillights.

For example you have the one on BavX's site which seems to be one of the quality products



Now these are DEPO's right ? okay so i have come across 2 other DEPOs both with LED brake and turning lights, however i would like to know if any of you know if either of one is fake or something?

Now, when i saw that, i went in uberdrive searching for it on ebay and i came across this thing which is sold by AceKogyo, it has a DEPO logo on it, but can anyone confirm that is even the logo or if this is fake ? cause they look similar but they aren't (red lining around indicator), and fake or not , they do show potential in my eyes

So what do you guys think about these? Do you know somewhere i haven't looked ? and what would be the best to go with? There's also the JleviSW ones that you can order a LED turning signal to be mounted in, but no pictures can be found on this (he said on this forum there weren't any yet)

Hmm, the last set looks perfect to me, as long as the quality is there.

OP, did you ask the seller if it'll throw any codes?
Looks ok, only thing is the trunk piece looks different, it doesn't look like they are from the same set of taillight (maybe cuz of the LEDs).

Edit: I think I know what it is, on the LEDs side, you can clearly see through, but not the truck piece.

the first set sucks balls since the 3 lighting rods don't wrap around the corner. I like the 3rd set the best.

I have sent the seller an e-mail, no idea how/when he will respond seeing he is in a place far from here ... awell he's taiwanese so he's probably farming wowgold all day anyways

oh btw, the 3th lightunit seller responded, so now i have asked him some more questions about legality, quality and versions (clear/smoke) he should be getting back to me tonight/tomorrow so i'll keep this updated

agree that 3rd set looks best.

however, I still have 2 issues with it:
1) The light is NOT visible from the side, only back.
2) LED taillight will throw error.. at least on some MYs..

Is the OEM brake light visible from the side? I know the bars wrap around on the 3rd one above like they do on the OEM.

About the errors, seems to depend a lot on the type of light and year of the car yea and also some have found ways around the error i believe, forgot what part they used tho. Still awaiting second email from seller.

about 1) :

The OEM ones actually don't wrap around it that much, you made me doubt when i read that so i did a quick check






on this one you see the full wrap because of the reflector reflecting the light from the flash but other than that i think the reflectors are used for making it noticible on the sides.
And if you look at the pictures, the 3th one seems to have the same reflectors (atleast designwise )

however i want to know if anyone has any pics of what an e92 would look like with these tail lights installed before i spend the money.. if anyone could lead me in the direction of pics that be cool

Yeah, I posted a link with similiar is not the same lights. Looks like it loses the 3 light bars inside, which I'm not happy about.

Thought an update would be appropriate on the LED tailights from acekogyo. I paid for these 18 days ago, haven't heard a thing since. I filled a paypal dispute last week, and escalated it to a paypal claim today. FYI.
