That magical word to your dog(s).
If I say the word RIDE no matter if I am on the phone or whatever and my dog hears me he goes into a tizzy. While raising him we, she went bye bye, would take him for RIDES in my old M3 vert. He loved it and is now a RIDING fool.
If I ask "Do you want to go for a RIDE" it is on. Spinning around and running all over the place. Do you have a word that is the signal for an automobile excursion with your canine? And all the "No freakin way a dog is getting in my BMW" folks...just move along please. Some here have other vehicles too. Thank you. |

If I say "Treat" my older Corgi goes into a frenzy and just starts doing 360's while pouncing a bit while my younger Corgi jumps in my lap and looks at me exactly like this .. with our foreheads practically touching.

Walk does it for my dog. I try to trick her by saying things like Christopher Walken, but she's no fool.

The best part is when you happen to say one of the keywords (or something similar) in a conversation and your dog perks up, trying to figure out if you really said it. My wife and I have to spell out the words if we don't want the dog to hear. "Do you want to take the dog for a w-a-l-k now?"

There's some cats that roam the street outside and my dog loves to try and bark at them through the window. If you say "Get the cat cat!" He'll RUN to the window and start looking with his ears and tail up for the cats. "CAR RIDE" and Annabelle and Chip are at the garage door ready. "BATH" and Max hides underbed. This one isnt a word, but when we take their collars off, they know its bed time and they go to their blankets.
