Another service cock up

The M6 went into Williams in Bolton to have an ipod fitted. Was told it would take the morning so even though i didnt get a courtesy car i wasnt thta bothered as i only needed the car in the afternoon.

Got a phone call saying the 'programming could take 6 hours therefore no chance of having car back till end of play'

At this stage i was a little peeved but i did a little rearanging and waited to pick her up that evening.

Got another call saying the programming hadnt finished and they will need the car overnight - that really pissed me off as i was withouyt transport. We have another car but thats not the point. I didnt need to a=have the ipod fitted that day but chose todo so after being told it would only take 3 hours.

Told the manager i need the car for 12pm today as i have a very important meeting so he better get it delivered to my house, to which he agreed.

.....this morning i received a call saying he had good news and bad news!!! whats that then i said,....'well mr ashton the bad news is that the software has crashed on your car and it doesnt work, so we are trying to sort it out with germany' and the good news is that ive got you a 523i (maanual shit spec) until we've fixed the car.

If the bloke had been near me i would have hit him i was ssoooooooo mad.

so im driving a shit car instaed of the m6 because these dickheads have fucked me car up fitting an ipod AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH:m ad0260:

Are you sure they did'nt mean to say

"We accidentally drove a mini into your car at 30 mph. Your car is a right off and we are liaising with germany to see if we can replace the vehicle in the hope you don't notice"

I'm having an iPod kit fitted in the M6 next week too....can't believe the changer doesn't play MP3 CD's. I hope mine is done more efficiently!

However, I am now on my 2nd night without my car!

Being the fussy bugger that I am, it went into Sytner on Wednesday for the following to be fixed:

1. It kept on losing all it's windscreen washer fluid - they have replaced a leaking pipe to one of the headlamp washers.

2. The steering wheel wasn't perfectly straight - they said it needed a full KDS to sort it....and guess what??? Without even asking, they said that sales were happy to pay for it!!! RESULT - I'm getting quite impressed with them! Take note...credit where it's due!

3. The headlamps aren't working as they should - the DRL's don't work when the light switch is set to off and when the light switch is set to 'on', the DRL's permanently light up the xenon's.

This ain't right and the car apparently needed a full software re-programme.....which only completed too late for me to get the car back tonight so I'll see if they've managed to fix everythign in the morning!

Sorry to hear this mate!!! .....another example here!!!....thats why, I don't want anyone to touch my car and come servicing time, its a nightmare!!! they can fucked up just for a simple oil change or tyre change!!!!!!.....i've seen cases, where they didn't tighten the nuts n bolts!!! and car was vibrating!

Williams in Bolton......need I say more.

Williams in Manchester (only used 'em once) were much better, but maybe I was lucky.

You most certainly were! I find them arrogant and unhelpful.

I would be livid - the least they could do is give you another M car whilst yours gets sorted

Give them hell Steve
