What would happen to your car if your SS-TT stopped working (broken)?

Long story short:

I recently got my fuel pump replaced for rough idle during stops (for faulty fuel pump/low fuel pressure code). Now it's worse, I have delays on cold starts only (5-10 second crank before engine start). BMW doesn't know what the issue is. They know I have the SS-TT. They also know I had it in my previous '07 335s with no issue. Also, the car feels slightly slower (turbo lag) during acceleration. I let them know before they worked on my car not to download the 29.2 flash software because it'll create turbo lag. They said o.k. I checked with my SA and she said the mechanic did not install 29.2.

I'm wondering, perhaps my SS-TT is no longer working. It kind of feels like before I installed the SS-TT when I only had the CP-E exhaust. The exhaust did create some lag but increased power in higher RPMs. The SS-TT did a great job in compensating power in the lower-middle RPM range.

So, what would happen if your SS-TT for some reason stopped working, due to a year and a half of hot temperatures under the hood, or simply natural tear and wear? Could it be the culprit for the rough idle or delayed cold starts? My next step is uninstalling the SS-TT, it's just my hands are too big or now flexible down there. Thanks in advance.

V/r,
Chris

Wait.. so you have a mod friendly dealer that knows you have SSTT and still replcaing fuel pump under warranty? Just take it out and see what happens without it
