Track Day: SOW 4/4

A few of us e90post guys are heading out to streets next weekend. I know its short notice but just wanted to see if their is anyone interested in coming out. Intermediate fast is closed, but their is still plenty of space in beginner/intermediate slow/advanced.

Streets of willow is a slower and smaller track then most, and as plenty of run off space. Great for beginners.

Its run by STUSA so to sign up, just go to www.speedtrialusa.com.
Cost for the day is $130 and we are running CW config.

Hope to see atleast one of you guys out there!

Come out Paul, it should be fun, specially if we get more e9x guys to come. If its your first time out, it wont be that bad on your tires at all. STUSA is pretty good about the beginners group too. The first few sessions are follow the leader, where every 3...4 cars follow 1 instructor car to just learn the lines and braking zones. Then the last few is when they finally let you out on your own. You can also get an instructor to ride along with you for a session for free.

ddeewwww it!

My favorite part of SOW is that it gets me that much closer to Buttonwillow haha .

I know most prefer to run CW and say CCW doesn't really have a rhythm, but i do prefer CCW better. It gives our higher hp/heavy as fawwkk cars an edge.

Ditch the seminar and come out with us Mike. You know you want to!

We will just be there Saturday. As such, i cant help you with the helmet problem. You said you are going with rx8 club which im sure means a lot of guys are going. Your best bet is to borrow one of theirs when their group is not on the track. There are 4 different run groups, so just borrow 1 from a guy thats not in the same group as you

Im not sure how much your head is worth to you, but imo, a helmet is one of the last things i'd skimp out and be cheap on. I know theres quite a few helmet retailers around. Just look online for retailers close to fullerton. And if you plan on buying online, make sure to try it on before you buy.

Open face SA2005 helmets can be had starting at like $100 and up. Full faced will cost you more at about $250 and up.
