How to find out if my ECU was updated?

I took my car in for scheduled service and want to find out my car is still pre-29.2. Looks like it is - the entire service (oil, brake fluid and visual suspension check + testdrive) took 1.5 hours, and there was no update mentioned on the invoice. But it seems strange - people are getting software updates forced on them and fuel pumps repaced before they break, and I just got two quick oil changes and nothing else.

On the other note, aren't they supposed to at least change windshield wipers after 2 years?

Not enough time to update.

Thanks. But should I be pissed about that? Nothing has been done to the car except two oil changes and one brake fluid change in two years (it's April 2007 e90). Is this normal or should I do something about that?

Actually yes - I want to know if more maintenance than just an oil change is expected. Probably an off-topic for this forum section, but "Free maintenance" may mean more than just free oil change, so I wanted to know what others are getting. My navi is freezing every other month and stays unresponsive for up to 30 minutes or until battery disconnect and list of songs sometimes take 5+ min to display - maybe an update could fix that (mentioned that to dealer - got unclear response about no recalls on my car). What's wrong with wanting to know if I just suck it up cause it's normal for BMW or if others are getting more?

Ok, I'll bite.
No software update is a good thing.
2 oil changes is a bad thing (@36k here and 8 oil changes---only 2 by BMW)
1 brake flush isn't bad if you aren't tracking .

The Nav freeze will require a software update. So either live with it or lose your pre-29.2.
