Will a BOV throw any codes?

I searched and didn't find an answer so I'm assuming a BOV doesn't throw a code but I wanted to make sure before I consider purchasing one. Thanks.

Ps. Please don't turn this into a "BOV's are for ricers" or "Why not just get diverter valves" discussion unless there is really a valid point to be made.

Was that really necessary? And yes I'm aware that it will void warranty if I choose not to uninstall it for dealer visits. Thanks.

BOV's are definitely not for ricers. They're for showing ricers how to do it with class

The only way it will throw a code if it is set to soft (leak) or too stiff (overboost).
