I have Evolve'd
Chaps,
After trawling through this very informative forum I went ahead and remapped my 335d today with Imran @ Evolve. I have only just bought the car on Monday and thought it was quick already but now it is close to insane. The best way to describe how I feel is that I arrived at Evolve a driver and left as a pilot. A performance hike for that cost and within 2 hours effort is just unbelievable. I would like to say it feels like a new car but it was to me anyway. Cannot recommend this mod and Evolve enough. Again, thanks for all the information provided on this forum as without it my visit to Evolve wouldn't of happened. Now, how long will 12 points take to accumulate !?!??!?! |

The difference is certainly noticeable, that extra 'wave' of torque.
Have you found the gearbox is slightly different as it re-adapts? |

Glad your enjoying it.
I enjoyed mine stock for nearly a year, and two 1/4mile visits. It was good fun comparing stock to modified engine on the drag strip.

Thanks all,
To echo RCUK, yeah defo fat kid with cake and all that - as soon as I knew that there was more power available I just had to go for it, no way could I wait a year, why bother ? Get the power now, the car just feels so much better ! To be honest Beemerbird everything feels different, the power, the drive, the delivery, the responsiveness and the gearing - all much better. Good to meet you today as well Biscuits - my ears are still bleeding lol !!! |

Arrgh.. Somebody else saying how great the car is mapped :-)
I'm tempted by the remap, especially with the new ability to load and remove at leisure but BMW insurance want an extra £200 for 5 months cover :-( |

I've had remaps on VAG's and Volvo's before, but the Evolve remap on my 330d was by far the most noticeable - anyone that has a turbo'd BMW (or an M3) should go and see them IMO

I think Evolve are a good crowd and wouldn't have a problem recommending them at all, they have a "no bull" aproach that is very reassuring...
However there are other companies out there that do good work too... and if Evolve are a bit of a trek, then would be equally worth giving a go IMO. I went to BMSport in Bexley for my exhaust and wouldn't hesitate going to them for any other work to be done... or if I wanted a track car fully prep'd. Simon at eMaps is very good for installing generic (not a bespoke remap) to all marques of cars. DMS are very well respected, but generally are the most expensive out there. They are more expensive than others, but do give a warranty that covers mechanical failures if the original manufacturer won't. |

I feel like I am in a very similar position as you. I bought a 335i (e90) about a month ago and am in love with the thing, however I am so so tempted to get it mapped. I keep telling myself have it for a year so I will fully appreciate the difference, but then I read posts like yours and it makes me want to go and get it straight away. Was you worried about losing your warranty? Or the fact you have non BMW personnel tinkering with your new toy. |

Glad you like the 'evolve' effect on your 335d Omar.
Nice to meet you too. Would just like to point out that Evolve also offer a very comprehensive warranty on our ECU upgrades which covers cars for failures. Thanks Sal |
