i had the pinout but bought the pnp upgrade kit. pin out was a breeze for install but i wanted the simplicity of just a few a clicks and be done. now looking at the install guide i realize the sub connectors can be installed backwards and i didnt have to worry about that with the pin out. so..

in step 7 im confused about

...so take care to ensure the
horizontal slots / empty boxes at the front of each connector are to the right.

what are these horizontal slots and empty boxes?


step 8

Plug in the factory short white subconnector to the small black subconnector (with
black wires towards passenger side) on the JB3 harness.

what are the black wires to the passenger side?

Verify boxes line up.

again what boxes?

man the pin out was easier at this point

Empty boxes as in the part of the connector with no wires in it...Like little slots.
