Thank you for the question. According to the Dinan website, kit p/n's are identical, and according to Koni's website, damper p/n's are identical, BUT, I recommend you research this to be certain for your application.

XI?
Thank you for the great word of caution, all should do their own research before buying. The provided link shows Dinan's own call out, quote: "3 Series > 328i, xi Coupe (E92) 2007-2009 > Chassis Tuning > Stage 1 Suspension System". Call them if their is uncertainty.

Thank you phozenstone and g9sBMW for the good catch, the post title has been amended.
These guys drive home do you homework point; I'm an E92 328i guy, that's what I know, I don't know cross-fitments, so if you are interested ask the experts. Thanks again. |

No Dishonesty! These are Good Parts
Quote:
Dan's comments stink. I am an honest person. I showed pictures with part numbers, gave links, asked all inquirers to ask the experts, even thanked some for finding the xi fitment, I have no hidden ajendas and as a Christian have no interest in engaging in a dishonest transaction. Before I had a chance to respond to Dan's private email requesting a refund he took it to this public forum, not cool, not a way to win my mind over. Change of Heart: I'm assuming Dan has developed buyer's remorse and had a change of mind about installing used parts, which is fine, what I don't appreciate the public slam on my character to force the transaction to get his money back. Bump stops: I explained to Dan that I had to reuse bump stops, there were none shown in the pictures in this post, I'm sorry that he missed this fact. Bad shock: I provided Dan with a purchase receipt for what he thinks is a bad shock and offered to help with the Koni evaluation and replacement. Without bench testing on a special Koni diagnostic tool I don't know how Dan could ascertain the part is defective. I pushed down on all pistons to pack them for shipment and found none that had "soft" resistance so I'm not sure how Dan could conclude one is bad. I also explained to Dan that I bought parts a month a part due to cash flow. I had my local reputable installer buy my parts and install, a good company I've used for 14 yrs, they did the install for much cheaper than Dinan's install fee. Buying separate parts are the same parts that are in the kit. As to Dinan’s parts being 2x in cost, this is most likely due to economies of scale, Koni sells more thus lower parts cost, Dinan sells less and adds pass-through markup plus their name, equals higher cost. Privately I offered that Dan allow me to help him with Koni's inspection of the shock he suspects is bad and get a replacement, if after this he does not want to install used parts on his car he can then sell them, they are his parts now, he bought them, they are good parts. I'd have them on my car right now if the spouse would permit, but she wanted a softer ride and that was the reason for the swap. I truly hope Dan changes his course, there is nothing wrong here. Sorry you guys had to get involved like this. DRC328i |

So you didn't buy these from Dinan but from Koni? This is misleading. You shouldn't advertise it as a Dinan Stage 1 suspension unless you bought it from Dinan as their suspension kit. I promise it isn't the same thing. Sorry, but I side with Dan here. The original post states that is was the "Stage 1 suspension Kit"
