URGENT Help With door tweeters

Hi All

I have fitted the drivers side but cannot get the door panel off the passenger side.

Removed silver trim
Removed 4 x torx screws
Uniclipped all around the door.

I have read that you need to remove the door handle black trim and there is a screw behind but it wont budge and I have even managed to break it

What am I doing wrong???????????

Also when fitting the foam using the existing piece should I blank off the back of the tweeter with some of the foam or just cut a hole all the way through.

Please advise as car is in bits and need it tomorrow.

Have a look at the pic in my amp/tweeter thread:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157820

Prise the long strip off first then start on the bottom of the handle insert with a wide flat bladed screwdriver, it will come off

Don't cut the foam right the way through if you can help it, just deep enough for the tweeter and cable.

Have fun in the morning

Thanks for the good advice, read the thread and realised that it was the grab handle and not the door opener handle.

All sorted and sounds 100% better. A very worthwhile up-grade for £68.

Just need to buy a new plastic door handle trim to replace the damaged one

Thanks again mate

Glad you got it sorted, it won't take as long if you need to take it off again

True, took the drivers side off today as the cover was not perfectly straight, only took 10 mins this time. The trim removal tool is very worthwhile.

Look at the 'sticky' called Discounted BMW parts. Call the guy at Derek Woodham BMW in Blackpool and he will give you a good price (about £69) for speakers, covers and postage and wills end the exact parts you need.
