Problem with windows....
So everytime I roll the window all the way down and then back up, I get some sort of crap on the inside glass of the windows in my E92...
It is so frustrating I keep having to clean the glass. I tried cleaning the pads that the window touches on its way down/up but that only helped so much... Do you guys think there is something underneath the window causing this? It wouldn't be such a simple process to take everything apart right? Thanks for all the insight! -Dave

I have it too - same spot. I think it's cosmoline. Probably have to take the door panel off to see where it's coming from and just clean it. Funny - when I had my car in for service I asked them to take care of this and they said they cleaned the window. Well duh!!!!

Try taking a cue tip with diluted all purpose cleaner, start off with a ratio of 10 parts APC and 1 part water then clean the contact area where the window glass hits.
Be sure after you clean it that you condition the area, wipe off access with cue tip and let it dry before firing the window up and down again. That should help.

you could use an all purpose conditioner like Poor boys Natural Look Dressing or PB's trim restorer. Apply by using the cue tip. Don't be too generous when applying or you'll just have a lot of cleaning up to do
