So I go to a dinan shop to get deflashed...

UPDATE as of 5/28/09: Just got off the phone with Steve Dinan just now..he is personally helping me work this issue out. Stay tuned.

And after being there 1 hour (8-9am) they tell me they dont have the right tool to deflash my car..I have to go down to Gilroy..or come back on Monday to do it all again. I am like, WTF? Are you a bonafide Dinan shop or not....BTW, this was an official Dinan shop.

I am deflashing to see if my car still exhibits this weird exhaust sound, and throws a CEL and limp mode when on track when in total STOCK mode.

So now I am going to my local dealer this weekend..dropping off my car..asking them to look into the error code for "Fuel Pump Plausibilty" to see if I have yet ANOTHER HPFP going south. Dinan said I had 122 occurences of that specific code. Nice huh..."so I got that going for me..which is nice".

And then I am still waiting on StaSIS to sell me a replacement set of Alcon rotors..(btw, I ordered them in November..somehow they didnt place the actual order until December 10th)....and here it is April 10th and I still dont even have an ETA on the friggin things. And the worse part is I have connections at StaSIS. Ugh. So my plans to track this car any time soon are shot...with no rotors..and this limp mode symptom..being caused by SOMETHING.

in your rant you left out the part where you also need a new RF rain cause the sun never came out that weekend. So, you got that going for you too.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope you get it back to stock and back on track soon.

Or you could just put up a 'mint condition, mostly highway miles, many new parts' white 335 up for sale

You might want to get the Dhali Llama himself involved in this reflash, might make it easier.

Speaking of Caddyshack, "I don't think the heavy stuff will come down for a while"

Hmmmm, I guess I should just go ahead and order spare rotors and just store them until needed......

Sorry to hear about all your troubles Steve. I hope things improve soon, and we don't have to read a post about you going back to Audis!

Although I'm tempted by the new Q5.......

I tried to get to the dealer on Saturday..but no go..since they dont have loaners then. Gonna try to hit the place this week..the bad part is that the earliest I can get to work when I drop off a car at the BMW dealership ..is about 10:30am ..since I work in downtown SF. That doesnt go over well with my boss.

Too bad the car has turned into a bag of bolts.

Finally got the rotors/hats...but boxes were labelled incorrectly and got two RIGHT rotors...this was about 2 weeks ago...as of last Friday I finally got the new LEFT rotor...so I will put it on this weekend. I have an additional set of hardware to assist if the original set goes bad. So, I am almost finished..and it is June in a few days..Yeeeeeah.

I'm curious if you are planning to try something else or are you staying stock?
I've known the issues that you've been having and it looks like Dinan is really on the hook for going through excessive fuel pumps...

I had my Dinan e46 M3 deflashed because I wanted to go with another tune.
They did it in about an hour.

Did they give you any money back..or did you just throw away the cash?

I need to call Steve this week..to discuss my options.

They actually wanted to charge me to flash it back to stock!

I bought the M3 with the Dinan installed so I didn't pay for it initially.

Call me instead. I'll flash over the Dinan with LET stage 2. Flawless as you know it, you were there that day at Laguna. Both Dinan and Proceed had problems that day!
