Got a ticket today, and have some question

Hello guys,

I got pulled over for my front tinted windows, and have some questions..

1. Ticket is marked as "Yes" at Correctable Violation section, so I guess it's a "Fix it ticket", am I correct?

2. And it also shows me to be appeared at court on 5/19/09, but the problem is I'll be out of country from next Tuesday until end of May, I did some research, and found that if I pay fine fees, then I don't have to be appeared at court with tint removed, is it true?

3. Since I'll be away, Is it possible to pay over the phone or internet once I find out how much I need to pay?

Sorry for stupid questions, but this is my first ticket in my life,
So I would be very appreciated for any tips.

go to a local tint shop have it removed cost like 25 bucks(if you dont wanna do it yourself).go to the sheriffs dept./chp and have them sign it then go to DMV and pay like 25$ for some fees and your good.

yes, it is a fix-a-ticket infraction. take it off and show a police officer and they will sign it off. what i did i took it to the police station showed them my ticket they took a look at my car to varify that i actually took it off & they signed it off. i also, had to pay a $10 fee.

oh yeah that was like a year ago. i dont know how much the fee is now . especially with the economy. police are eager to pull over people for anything since our state needs money.

If you have any friends that are officers they usually will sign it off without even looking at the car. They care less about stupid little fix it tickets. That's what i did.

Damn fix-it tickets!! I have all my windows limo tinted so when I see cops, I just roll them down, just in case. I've had limo tint on my Accord for almost 7 years and I've gotten pulled over a bunch of times for it. Most of the time, they just give a warning. I've only gotten 2 tickets for it. It's easier to just pay the fine and be on your way. It's cheaper to take the tint off, have a cop sign it, then put the tint back on and pay the $10 fine. It all depends on your area and how the cops are. Some are more relaxed than others.

Remove the tint yourself! Its extremely easy... you can save yourself a meal with a couple of razor blades and some windex
