Question for BMW Tech (A/T repair)

My A/T had two leaks (Bell housing and Metronics (sp?) sleeve), and I was wondering how much A/T fluid is replaced resulting from these repairs?

I had the mechatronic sleeve (and trans pan gasket) replaced after a trans leak. I didn't let it leak very long before I had it in for service. They added one pint of fluid, according to my SA. That is 1/2 quart, about 1/2 liter--not much!

it depends on the leak. some people replace all the fluid. i personally dont. i reuse whatever i have and add what i have to. depending on how long the trans was leaking for and how bad its usually 1/2-2 liters.

Thanks. Mine had been leaking for awhile since the 1-2 shift was becoming too abrupt.
