Cape Town meet 'n greet

Ok fellas

Let's organise a meet 'n greet for the e90, e92, e93.... and maybe some of the new 1'ers as well?

Winter is approaching, and with us having quite a number of holidays this month, let's look at having a parking lot meet during April (if possible).

The main idea behind it is so that we can get together and share ideas / experiences with these cars and customising, diy's, etc.

Feel free to suggest any areas, and ideas for the meet.

Also indicate if you're available and interested in someting like this - most likely on a Saturday or Sunday morning?

That way we can get an idea on numbers.
Also spread the word to guys that are not on the forum.

thanks

Get off the forum. lol.

Just thought about it... a Saturday afternoon will be better, for the guys that work mornings.

That weekend of 25/26 looks good.

Was thinking century city... since its mid way between anyone from cbd, southern suburbs and northern?

Now we just need to get more guys!

I have 5 others thus far that are not from the forums.
We should get at least 20 cars.

Twins - where we met was nice.
It's only 5 bux per hour parking.

BMW high performance driver training

Revo, I might be off topic but blame it on the holiday blues.
I just got invited by my BMW dealer to do the BMW high performance driver training course on 13 May 2009 at Killarney racing circuit for about R2,700. It is the same guys who are doing the BMW performance driving in Gauteng. Anyone else been approached?

The last time I did a simillar advance/performance driver course was 1992 in a Golf GTI. So I am thoroughly rusted and would like to do it again. I am not sure if BMW decided to offer the programme permanently in the Cape - would be great though!

Haven't heard of the bmw driving day.. but I've been on the advanced driving course at Killarney.
I do it once every second year, so have gone through it thrice....
Don't think it covered as mch as the BMW day, but basically includes skid pan, driving test on the road and an optional track day.

It's always more fun when you're not driving your own car though, lol.
Especially on that skid pan... man that wall approaches you soooo quick!

Ok,

Venue: Century city
Date: Saturday, 25 April 2009
Time: 3:30 or 4pm... what's better?

Want to keep it afternoon to allow more people to come - mornings are usually busy.

M club will be joining us, and whoever wants to sign up to the club, will have an opportunity.

I'm not sure if there is IPL at Newlands on the 25th April.

Hey guys

Finally making a start on the posts, just been lurking around most of the time.

Revo, what wheels are those in the ad? I see in your pic in the other thread you have similar, if the not the same one's, on your car? They look hot!

At the dealership's parking lot.
They know we're coming

Make a turn, even for a few minutes, if you can.
Latest weather report is that it will only rain the morning.
So that's good.

BTW, those are BBS LM-R wheels.
