12 volt sockets in E90

does anyone know if the cigarette lighter sockets are in fact 12 volt?
I have bought 3 x chargers for iphone, and NONE of them even show they are receiving power!!
If it is the car's power supply, does anyone know where i can get a fuse guide for an E90 330i. (the cigarette lighter does not appear on the supplied fuse map inside the fuse box)

Check your fuses, its definitely over 12 volt.

thanks heaps Mark - now, does anyone know what slot the cigarette lighter occupies? according to the US bimmer post, in a 325 (E90) it's slot 30.
No indication on the map provided on the underside of fuse cover
