Arrow ****** Inc | E90/e92 Csl Trunk Paint Scheme

Lots of people were requesting photos of some schemes we offer at ******. The following pictures is of a customers Black Sapphire Metallic.

He opted for the CF license plate section + CF faded theme instead of a solid line on the tail.

We now offer E90 & E92 CSL TRUNKS PAINTED or CARBON FIBER for $549 shipped

SOLID CF TAIL - ADD $150
FADED CF TAIL (like the pic) - ADD $220
CF LICENSE PLATE EXPOSED - ADD $100

Any other requests? I would need to see pictures to get a quote

Here is the outcome :

If you've ever looked at CF painted black then you should understand that unless you layer the paint to the extreme you're going to see the weave pattern below the paint. This isn't orange peel as much as the weave below ..........

Thor ......... man we sure do think alike. I'm just starting with the front end and working my way back ...

By the way, what's the word these days?

Hmmm, When the boots are pullout out of the vacuum and then sanded down they should already have a smooth surface. I'm thinking that piece just needs a good wetsand, buff and cut.

No, they're adding $70. The total upcharge is for a PAINTED Carbon Fiber bootlid.

In other words, if you want a CF Lip exposed, they have to paint a CF bootlid, and leave that open. That is a $150 charge and that's what he's talking about when he says "solid CF tail."

If you want it faded, it's $220 instead of $150, so $70 more. Unless I'm totally reading it incorrectly. If you want the license area exposed, that's $100, regardless of the other charges mentioned.

It's hard to see in these pics, but what he means is a solid stripe vs. one that the paint fades into the carbon fiber.

On this particular trunk in the pics, around the license plate area that would be considered "solid" whereas the area of exposed carbon fiber around the lip is faded. Like I said, it's just hard to tell.

But to your question specifically, he means a strip of carbon fiber exposed on the rear of the tail, formed by painting around that area with no fade.

Hope that makes sense.

Lots of pics in the for sale thread, but I think they're all e92. Shouldn't be different fitment-wise.
