Quick ? about sealant
I've been doing a lot of searching the past few days trying to decide on a sealant. I was originally leaning towards the combo of Klasse AIO/SG as recommended in the sticky, but since I read some negative comments concerning streaking and difficulty of removal if you use too much, I've also been looking into other brands.. so I'm also considering opti seal, jet seal, ex-p, or werkstat. My question is if I go with one of those rather than Klasse SG, do I still want to use Klasse AIO beforehand?
And while I'm posting, I know its been beat to death but as far as durability and ease of application (for someone who has never done it before) which sealant would you go with? Is SG really that difficult to work with? Thanks! |

Zaino is easy to use and provides good, durable results.

Thanks for the replies guys.. I think I've settled on werkstatt acryllic jett trigger. Should I just buy werkstatt's prime (original, acrylic, or strong??) or could I still go with klasse aio? so many choices..

Full Molecular Jacket for a black (or dark) colored car. It's extremely easy to apply....and even easier to remove. It makes a dark colored car look wet. the downside is it tends to wear off pretty quickly, so you need to re-apply pretty often.

I have used both the Klasse products and JW; I think they give similar results; all good products; in terms of ease of application I prefer the JW Prime Acrylic and Acrylic Jet: Trigger. The Prime Acrylic was designed as an improvement on the original; the Strong would be useful if you have some marring, but I think for most cases the Prime Acrylic will be fine. Klasse is fine also, there's just a bit of a learning curve with regard to how much to use to avoid streaking. The JW web site is also responsive to questions on their products.
I haven't used the other products mentioned but I'm sure they're good also, so you really can't go wrong. good luck. |

I just put JetSeal on my car, and I think it looks great - really brought out the metallic flakes in black sapphire.

If you have the time, a good approach is to use Prime and AJT one day, buff well and let that cure overnight, then another coat of AJT the next day; will add a bit of depth to the gloss; good luck. |

I've used Tropi-care TC-3 Sunburst sealant, went on and came off very easily after I clayed and polished the car. Put it on using a PC and a blue pad, took it off with a microfiber bonnet over an orange pad. Its been about 6 months since my last application and I can tell especially on the roof that I need to reapply, the vertical surfaces however still bead well.
