Oh crap, well atleast that breaks before the tranny did. I have heard of people snapping half shafts. So far no tranny failure which is good. But anyway, just go a little easier on your new unit otherwise it can turn into an expensive habbit.

At freeway speeds, assuming you are going in a straight line this should not effect the differential.

I broke the CV joint too, but when they replaced that, they failed to notice that the diff was bad too so I had to go back for a second time to get it looked at.

I don't understand how they miss the differential when an axle is broken and the car can't move. So pathetic.

This shows that they are either very lazy, or just do everything by the book, and have no idea what they are working on, or how the car is put together.

wait you broke a cv joint?how,did you hit a big pothole or something.These diffs can take a beating and your car is stock.

Maybe the diff moved and wasnt centered and you mess up the input bearing
