i don't think anyone forked out the $1400 for it yet when they can get the V3's for $300 more. or the H&R's for $200 less

hmmm yeah I'm deciding between the H&R's and V1's right now... is the KW brand name really worth the extra $200? I don't even care about getting V3's cuz all I want is ride height adjustment.

have them installed since Thursday. ride feels as comfortable as stock and have been taking turns a lot faster. my fiancee doesn't mind them at all which was a big concern since we share the car. best things i've done to my xi are swap out to non-rft and get KW1s.

i just wonder how they compare to the H&R's... if they perform better then I guess I'd be worth $200.... are the KW's really pink like in the pictures I've seen on **********s?

the parts you can see from the wheel well are purple and yellow. didn't see the shock in person because it was delivered directly to the shop.

um looking at your location - you are in an area of the country that snows

H&R coilovers are not rust and corrosion resistant. KW coilovers are!

due to the snow, salt, elements that you will be exposed to in the Midwest, your best bet is KW V1. Contact Simon@RennSPEC @ sales@renn-spec.com He will hook u up. Tell him Preeth sent you

That offer good for the rest of us as well? If the reviews come back good as to ride quality - suspension feel and performance, I'm onboard. I can't make the stretch for justifying another $1k for V3s unless someone really outlines the difference justifies the cost.

That offer is good for everyon!

Essentially with the V1 you are giving up rebound and dampening, which really are not that important unless you want FULL adjustability.

The reason I went with the KW V1 instead of Eibach Springs, which I ordered/received/returned from TireRack, was because I wanted the shock to not be under alot of stress due to springs that are designed for the 335i (non-X) - there are no 335xi springs yet!!!!

The KW V1 allow you to adjust ride height - which should be done once since you will need to corner balance the car everytime you adjust ride height and do an alignment - I liked the fact that it was an expensive, but a good quality shock/spring set up!

Contact Simon. He will hook u up!

i got some kwv1s for my ride and i love them. has the look and ride that isn't worst than stock. a little bouncier maybe but not that much and i can take those off ramps without feeling my car is going off the road.

got my from Andy and Sonic MS. he hooked it up.

Andy from Sonic MS did give me the best price, but since I was using my AmEX, and their shop didn't take AMEX, I went elsewhere!

Andy was/is the man.

Hmm been deciding between H&R and KW V1 too, sounds like everyone is thinking V1

if i lived in cali or a place where there is no snow on the ground and shitty salt, i would go H&R, (not really), but since I am in the Northeast, I have to go KW if i want a coilover set up.

Lol, along the same lines...contact Ron @ **********s for xi suspensions and tell him Dave Longo sent you I doubted KW for a while until I had mine adjusted again and I am loving them. The ride quality is great (which I don't care about but is certainly an added benefit) and the performance is off the chart!

as long as you do in bed... so about 14 seconds.

hahaha, sorry Mike, I had to. Coils go MUCH longer than stockies do. probably will never wear them out while you have the car... especially the way you drive, Grandma.

Again, another post that completely confuses me over the choice I should make.

I thought I was sold on H&R coilovers but I didnt realize they werent stainless so now KW is the better choice.... but then, I wrote KW off after reading the V3 guys complain about noises and broken tabs.

Then throw in the fact that Bilstein might be around the corner... but apparently, they've been around the corner for a while now so who knows for sure
