DIY: Keyhole cover
I purchased this keyhole from Sal (autocouture). His price was MUCH better than Bimmian and had it for me the next day! His job is local to my job so we met up at lunch and he even installed it for me. I told him I would help him out by doing a quick DIY. Here it is:
Tools Needed: -Size 4 Allen key ![]() -Fingernail to pop off cap -Hands -A Brain Step 1 Open drivers door, and look at door jam. There is a black cap on the top.Pop off the cap with a nail or you can use a flathead but its really not that hard (not shown) ![]() Step 2 You will then see this screw when you pop off the cap. Insert allen key and loosen to the left. ![]() ![]() It shouldnt come all the way out but on my 06 330 it did; on my 07 335 it did not. Once you have unscrewed it, you should be able to pull out the keyhole and it will look like this: ![]() ![]() Step 3: Insert the new keyhole cover in and tighten screw and presto your done. Took about 2 min to do. The end result is this: ![]() It looks so fresh and so damn clean right?? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sal getting dirty ![]() ![]() |
