iPhone Procede Boost Gauge / Datalogging / Map Switching - Interest?
Alright guys, since I kind of let the cat out of the bag in this thread, I'm working on an iPhone (and WM6, actually) interface to the Procede. Essentially, many of the features you'd typically use the laptop + USB cable for, but over the iPhone / iPod touch, and completely wireless. I've done a proof of concept (see below) and gotten preliminary things working on WM6, and I'll be moving on to the iPhone, iTouch next, but I want to gauge interest before I pour the hours in to work on it.
So, who would be interested? I would be selling you a hardware component which will hook up to the procede in the ECU box, completely plug 'n play. With this, you would be able to access the procede wirelessly from your iPhone/iPod Touch/ HTC Touch/ Treo/ whatever. Would also be working to have all the Procede Reader software wireless as well. Introductory functionality I'm shooting for would include boost gauge, datalogging, and map switching. Then I can hopefully move onto things like map loading/adjustables and more. No promises though So, tell me, who's interested?

great idea! I'm deciding on a tuning package at the moment and this will definitely swing my decision to the procede side. The easily installable/removable aspect of this gauge is what makes it attractive to me.

Hardware happened. As much as I'd like to, I'm not going to give it away! I'm trying to take the time to put together the complete package so its a quick and easy solution. Not to mention the time to learn ObjC and then get the app done. Hopefully you guys feel that would be something that's worth the money. That's what I'm trying to gauge (no pun intended!)

Thanks! To be clear, I'm NOT out to rip anyone off. Trust me, I'm going to try and make this as affordable as possible. I think it would be a cool feature that a lot of people could use.
Haha, we'll see. I have a feeling the iPhone/iPod version will be a lot nicer looking/more features but I'll know more as I move forward. You should really just get an iPhone anyway
