Audi Q5 hot!
I think I found my next SUV in a year and half to two years. And ED not a bad idea either. Had one with my E92, looking forward to another one, and heh, got my excuse without having to sell my E92 thats not so frequently driven anyway. I think this thing is kind of gorgeous..
http://www.audiusa.com/audi/us/en2/n...s/Audi_Q5.html Opinions please. Audi kinda expensive too, but they got some of the best looking vehicles around.

i agree, audis are beautiful. I was stuck in between the appearance of an A5 and 335i Coupe but went with the coupe because of the performance. if A5 had the n54 engine, i'd pick it over the bmw in a heartbeat. and also, audi now has a distinctive line of LEDs which makes it unmistakably recognizable.

my GF is looking at getting the Q5, I test drove it and loved it.
power delivery is very smooth, fit and finish inside is top notch. The car handles really well considering it is an SUV. coming from a B6 A4 I would definitely put it at the top of my list of SUV's. as long as you can keep the options to a minimum you should be able to get it between 42-45k out the door.

Everyone here knows I am an Audi fan, I simply like their cars but I got to drive the new Q5 yesterday because my Brother was looks to buy a 997 and the same dealer also has an Audi dealership across the road from the Porsche one.
Anyway back to the Q5, I really like the looks especially the S-Line which offers a sportier image that suits the car. It's driving position isn't usual SUV, it's sort of in between a traditional SUV and a normal car which gives the drive a more sporty feel for the car and how it drives when pushed. And about it's handling, well here is an SUV that definitely feels more tied down than either the Brother's X6 or my Cayenne S from memory, it corners remarkably level with less understeer for what is still an SUV, the engine is punchy being the 3.0TDI and I would reckon though couldn't say for certain that it did feel like it would have the legs on the Brother's X6 35d (a car not short on performance). I can only imagine what an RS version of this will be like and it would be the only real choice to use as the Q7 is really too big to be classed as sporty or offer anything like a sporty driving experience. I hope the X5/6M pushs Audi to take the decision and offer an equivalent because I can't think of an SUV better design and executed for the purpose of offering a fire-spitting version. P.S. The GLK is awful looking, it looks like Mercedes banned the use of curves in it's construct. I half expected to see a square steering wheel. |

yea test drove this when it came out a month or two ago, that said I would seriously wait for the 3.0 TDI that comes out later this year or next, according to Audi.de it is faster than the gas model and gets well over 30 mpg

Looks good but not digging it (tastes differ)
But what's with the headlight LEDS tbh ? Every audi i see nowadays has another combination, it looks like every new audi gets a randomly computergenerated headlight before they sell it to you ![]() |
