leather cleaning and conditioning.
first off i know that there is a difference between the both of them, just wondering how often both should be done to keep the seats in their best condition. Also which products are people using, and has anyone purchased a kit directly from bmw. Dont want my seats to be shinny like with armorall wipes.

I use Zaino Z-9 (cleanser) and Z-10 (conditioner). In my previous car (Acura TSX) I did the conditioning like every 2-3 months....bad idea. After 2 years the leather was starting to look dull and there were some small cracks. I'm not sure how better or worse is BMW's leather, so paranoia mode I clean/condition my car's seats about every 6 weeks. So far besides the obvious wrinkles from normal usage I haven't seen any discoloration and it is still soft as new.

I am debating with the same problem, my car is 6 weeks old, but I would like to preserve the wonderful look and scent of the leather interior. I am looking at Wolfgang cleaner and conditioner, and at the Leather Master products.
Anyone's comments on these ? Thanks BP |

I wash my car every 2 weeks and I do spot cleaning inside with the cleaner every wash, but I do the conditioner every other was so about once every 4 weeks. I use the Zaino cleaner and conditioner. It takes very little to condition the entire car.

Microfiber pads seems to work for me just fine. Are you putting a lot of conditioner in one shot? Maybe try a smaller quantity of conditioner and apply it on a more concentrated area. It may take you longer but you won't waste too much product.

I use Lexol Leather Cleaner and then I finish it off with Lexol Leather Conditioner. It works fine with microfiber cloths, I usually do it once every month.
