Anyone track their runflats?
Thinking of doing a local BMWCCA drivers school @ Lime Rock with them. Want to know what ppl though about using the stock 18" runflats (330i ZSP) for this. Not too concerned about the extra cost to replace these tires, but I'm more concerned about track performance.

Have tracked the car at Road America and autocrossed 3 times with the stock tires. Amazingly they are holding up quite nice. As far as how well they run at these events I think the limiting factor in my outcomes is the driver and not the car or the tires.

grip is decent on the re50 18's (i have them on my Z4)
they're better at a track than on an autocross not as gummy as a PS2, but you won't be embarrassed I've put about 220 hard track miles and an autoX on my re50's and it hasn't effected treadlife that much (still going to get over 20k from them) I took some pictures of my re50's compared to my buddies PS2's after a track session, can't find the picture right now though |

I auto-x with them and I have had 0 problems. I have done it 3 times and do not see any abnormal wear and they are very easy to control IMO.

I've tracked on my RFT's with my 325i sport wheels and even though I was a noob at running on the track, the car handled very well as told to me by my instructor who drove a G35.
I have 10K miles on the car and the tires are still holding well... knock on wood |

I did a driving school with mine (Bridgestone RE50's) and they did fine. I don't much experience with other high performance tires to compare, but they seemed to perform well. No problems at least.
