Son of a BITCH! Dent Doctor any good?
Got the first parking lot dent! DAMN I hate this, but at least I witnessed it so they couldn't walk on like nothing happened.... Little kid flying out of the back seat of a ES330 smacks the shit out of my rear fender with his door, just in front and atop of the wheel well. Nice MF'in dinger. 4,200 miles on a perfect car. Was. At least his Momma freaked out. More Ritalin for that little bastard, let me tell you.
Anyone have experience with Dent Doctor, etc? Supposedly they can pull it and buff to as new. Went there today and for $108.50 they say it'll be good as new but has to go up throught the wheel well to get at it. Thanks in advance.

I've seen one done and couldn't spot the dent after being fixed. It probably has some to do with if the dent is creased in the sheet metal or just a round dent. Some shops are very good at it though.

Hi. I got a dent a couple of months ago in the driver side door. Right in the ridge line. It was deep. I went through dent wizard and they brought it back to 95%. It looks pretty good for $100. They do not make replacement skins so the only way to get it to 100% is a new door or total body shop repair. I did not want to body shop it yet. Waiting for the next "big" one and then having it done. I would go through Dent Wizard in your area. They're highly trained on this procedure.

i've done it on my TL. they do a good job. its worth it because it doesn't require painting, which can be hard to match, but your car is new so maybe not. i'd still reccomend it though. if it is on a crease, it is harder to get it perfect. otherwise, its close.
go for it.

i don't really have those installed yet. i have most of the parts sitting in my garage, the breyton pieces are on order.
Join the group buy! Cost is like 150 and then like 100 or so for shipping, probably less than 300 bucks. I dont' know if I will install it myself or not. Let me see after its painted if it needs any molding or if it is a direct fit. Consider our group buy tough http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hlight=breyton. Quote:

Just got back from Dent Doctor in Brookfield. Ding is GONE. If the hit on your car doesn't crack or cut the clear coat you'll get a surface back to 99%, maybe even 100%. I have to put on my reading glasses and get close to see the mark from the other car's door on my rear quarter. As hard as it hit my car, this is a real testament to the toughness of BMW paint.

My brother had it done. They do great jobs. They need access to dent from behind. That why he will probably remove your fender liner. They use special tools to message the dent out. Small rollers and things. Its actually pretty cool. Also there can not be any paint damge or it wouln't work.
