you have to open up the JB3, I believe instructions come with the new chip if you order it. Its very easy to do.

You pop open the black control box and swap the mini chips out. Takes about a minute once you have the JB3 in your hands.

As for getting the new software you can either buy a chip burner to flash the units yourself at home, or buy the upgrade chips whenever you feel like it. Usually cost between 5-20 bux for each upgrade chip. The chip burner is 50.00 dollars and you can get more info about the burner from my site <just click on my sig>

Very interested in the upgrade. How would I choose the map profile? Would I need to swap out the chip if I wanted to drive using Map 3 vs 2?
