Custom Fiberglass Sub Project Finished!!!

I built a custom fiberglass box for a Boston Acoustic Sub (G5) and an 800WATT MTX Audio Amp. Took about a week to make and was well worth it. I did not loose any trunk space and the sound is so much more crisp. The box was formed to the left side of the trunk where the open space was right over the stock amplifier. (I have the Audiologic 7.0 system in my car) What do you guys think?

Looks very clean. I think its one of the nicer setups that i've seen so far. You dont loose trunk space and i sure hope the sound is great!

Normally about $1200 for the box plus if you needed to buy a sub and amp. Only cost me the parts. $640 & a bunch of patientce. hahah fiberglass is a pain. My car was sponsored also by my buddies shop so that helped too.

No rattles at all. Not one. The sub is tuned perfectly and the trunk and side pillars dont rattle at all. Clear as day. Reason being is the enclosure for the sub (fiberglass) is so tight around the sub that it does not have work hard to make alot of power and move air. So it wont rattle anything.

Hows that possible? If you have the audiologic 7.0 sound system the subs are locted under the seats. How could they rattle? My install is clean and hits great. No rattles at all. :rocks:

I never understood though why someone would have to find a way to bash something? Why cant he just say nice install, not "Ibet it rattles like crazy" I wish he was located in Chicago so he can hear how crisp and clear it is.

Is the sub tuned to the car or you just made a nice box for it? Looks nice. Why no JL?

The sub is tuned for he car. Hated JL subs IMHO. Boston Acoustic is actually more expensive and a more high end sub. Hits cleaner and recovers better. Ive had a JL before and just didnt like it. Wasnt a clean enough hit for me.
