BMW finance

Any body got any idea if they have any movement on their apr and prices?
Was interested with their offer on the 320d M sport but they have it at £28.5K, but they also have another offer for a free upgrade from se to M sport which is a saving of about £2k.

On that offer it says typical 9.6%.
Seems a bit high.

In my experience BMW will match offers from other lenders, but you need to show them what you can get elsewhere,

Dealer discounts from new should be circa 10%

The brokers seem to have much larger discounts now and are well worth a look.

From my recent experiences: Getting them below 9% is still difficult on used cars, but should be able to get 6-7 if you show them proof you can get it elsewhere on anything new...

WTF??? I've got an experian rating of 999/1000 and no one is doing less than 8% personal loans on 15k-25k on any sites i can find, not many under 10!

Show me a 5.9% please.....

Liverlegend - separate the car from the finance, even BMW finance. Negotiate the car first against a broker quote, then once you've got a fixed price discuss finance afterwards, again get them to beat 3rd party quotes.

Must admit I've seen the same as you. There isn't much under 8%.

My banks headline loan rate was 7.2% in October and it's now 9.9%. Not convinced the liquidity is coming back yet.

+1

5.9% might be available on finance attached to the car, but I doubt you'll get the most competitive discount off the car with that.

I financed mine through Sainsburys at 8.1% with a squeeky clean credit rating.

Have a look on the Clive Sutton website, this is what they were quoting on a Range Rover Sport

Finance Details
Term Deposit Monthly Payments Final Balloon Typical APR
48 months £6,950 £488 £7,500 5.65%

Interesting website. I suspect you'd be paying a little more than is necessary on the price in order to get 5.65% right now. A bit like the 0% finance deals that you see on new cars.

This looks fun though:

I got a really good deal with Lombard last year, which is a loan with a balloon.

The really good thing is that it is a base rate tracker (base plus 3%), so it was about 8% when I got it and is 3.5% now.

It is intended for businesses though, and as a private buyer I had to jump through some hoops to qualify.

Unfortunately, I'd be surprised if the same deal is still available now
