Unhappy Your Thoughts??

I may have a problem with my Volks. More than likely, I will end up waiting for either my set or another set of Volks, but in case I can't stand the stock rims anymore, what rims what you guys like to see? I really want to stay with a forged rim, but whatever...this could be a temp set.

What's the problem with em Danny? Just been waiting too long? I'm starting to get a bit anxious and I havn't even been waiting half as long as you have.

If you really need another set why not go for some CSL reps. I know a lot of people have them but they really do look fantastic. You probably wouldn't have too much trouble reselling them after your Volks arrive also.

Sorry to hear Danny.

I hope everything gets worked out bro...for some temp wheels though, I would get something that you can re-sell once your "real" wheels come in. Maybe some replicas?

Jimmy, The problem for now is Mackin (the sole distributer in the USA) is having trouble tracking the rims. I'm hoping that they get this resolved, but if the order got lost or something I was thinking of what I should do.

Sedan C. - I am considering any and all Volk applications for my car at this point.

I'm having a real hard time choosing another rim. Maybe a set of BBS', they are pretty popular and should be easy to sell.

Hopefully I will find out the status of my order on Monday. I've held my patience for so long but I really cant take it anymore. Other members post about how they "Finally" got there whatever, I don't think "Finally" would even be strong enough for my situation. For once, this has really gotten to me, I cant even explain my anger...yes I can...

FUCK.

Thumbs down

Hey AJ,

I'm calmer now. Normally the lead time for these rims are 30 to 90 days, sometimes, even longer. That's because Ray's is a small company, and they are located in Japan. If they only get a few orders in for one offset, they may batch that order until they get more of the same offsets before they make a production run. Plus, there is only one US distributer. Because they make OEM wheels for Nissan among others, sometimes they have to hold all customer orders to do a OEM run, which from what I understand happened to me. So now was supposed to be close to the time when my rims would arrive. When I went to check on them, I found that Mackin (the US Distributer for Volk) was having a hard time tracking the order.

I don't know anything for sure right now. Could be my order is on it's way (fingers crossed) or that the order was lost by either Mackin or Volk Japan. If that's the case, I would have to re-order and hope that Volk can get to my offset order right away. Either way, because of this situation, my new order would be air-freighted to me here cutting wait time about 3 weeks instead of being put on a container for delivery by ship.

Danny

I think the CSL reps are you best bet.

They are cheap, look nice, and will be extremely easy to re-sell.

Yea I hear you guys on the replicas, not really an option for me though.

How long did it take for those of you to get your BBS'? From order to door? Any style.

Danny,

Sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation. Im sure that the wheels will be well worth it when they arrive. Arent these wheels supposed to be extremely lightweight?

If you want to get either the csl reps or the ch's in the meantime, I will certailny buy them after your useage

tire rack says they are in stock, so I would assume 1 - 1.5 weeks...

I ordered tires from them, and had them in 5 business days...

Damn Danny I was anticipating your Volks to show up. I was seriously beginning to think you just never updated your sig.

I hope it gets resolved soon. May the power of the spring/shock combo team be with you.
