Vorsteiner VS Carbon 8 trunk

What do you all think? The vorsteiner rear trunk is certainly more sporty and pronounced but the Carbon 8 is half the price.

Vorsteiner, of course.

OP: If you want a trunk that looks like the OEM spoiler was molded in, get Carbon 8. If you want a trunk with more flare and smoother edges, get Vorsteiner.

Between those two, I would get Vorsteiner. If you want extra, extra flare, then go Karbonwerke.

Please don't mislead fellow e90posters. I've seen pics of the Carbon 8 and the fitment is horrible. You can actually see a big non-uniform gap between the rear fenders and the trunk. I won't even talk about the line alignment

Vorsteiner's trunk is more expensive, and yeah it is not 100% fitment, but at the very minimum you'll get 95% fitment. The only trunks I've seen with minor alignment issues are the ones in the DVWP version. The 1x1 and 2x2 CF versions look great. Plus you'll get great customer service from Vorsteiner...if you are not satisfied with the product they will work with you to get either a replacement or a refund.

If anything, YOU are misleading by saying that the fitment is 95%. LOL. I have yet to see a vorsteiner product that fits well. Shit, they cant even make plate frames that look right...

Sorry guys but your way off base... #1 the OP asked which fits better and #2 95% fitment is fairly easily attainable!

I have the E90 CSL bootlid from Vorsteiner and it fits very very good. Even better than my Vorsteiner Hood.
I can't compare so I will not talk about the other brands.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I am actually thinking of going with karbonwerke's lid. I like how it arcs a bit more and is more aggressive. I also dig how the roundel is higher. It comes out in a few months so we'll see. They guarantee fitment just like everyone else.

Is Karbonwerke supposed to make a trunk for the E92?

The trunk on the E90 above, based on pictures looks worlds better than any VRS E92 trunk I have seen. The bad fitment can be spotted from that distance easily.

Haven't seen the Carbon 8 so I can't comment, but the VS trunk fit pretty well w/o any modifications and I was pretty happy with it. Unfortunately I was happy enough with its fitment that I ordered the V35 hood. Talk about poor fitment.... it's embarassing..

VRS - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261407 good fitment (from reading feedbacks) but high price.
C8 - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...&postcount=140 bad fitment (cutting, readjustments, drilling) but 1/2 the price of Vorsteiner's.
Karbonwerke - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ht=karbonwerke unknown fitment feedback, similar price to VRS, extra extra flare compared to the other bootlids. (not my personal choice regarding design)

Your choice.
