Electrical questions / (not) deploying airbags
Hi all,
I am going to be installing a car PC. I need to do the following things: 1 - need to take apart the inside of the car to run a wiring harness from the dashboard to the trunk 2 - hook up a car PC to the battery in the trunk 3 - tap into the ignition wire to detect engine start/stop. Any recommendations on what/how to do to achieve these? Also, how do I make sure I don't trip any airbags - I don't even know what action would cause them to deploy. Disconnecting the battery, maybe? -pN

disconnect the battery if you are scared you might deploy any airbags. do a search on navandtv2go or tvandnav2go for a DIY. you will see some pictures and descriptions on how to run wires inside your car. also look how for the DIY on installing a sub and amp for connecting to the battery in the trunk for power. you should probably tap into the cig lighter or use a fuse tap to trigger your start up of the pc
