Arrow E90 Remote bootlid release inop

The bootlid release option on my keyfob remote doesn't work - nothing in the manual about it being a configurable option etc via idrive - is this a warranty issue perhaps?

New car to me so not sure of the previous goings-on.

Any pointers much appreciated

Without wishing to offend.... did you unlock the car first? On mine you certainly have to unlock the car before you can open the boot on the button.

Ah.....ok, fair point - no probably not. Infact, no, the whole car was locked. Was under the assumption the boot would open by *just* pressing the boot release button on the blipper.

I'll try it tommorrow - I cant be arsed to get from this comfy sofa with my "can of anaesthetic" - oh how I love Sunday nights!

Just tried mine, you can open the boot with the rest of the car locked but you have to keep the button on the fob pressed for about a second.

open of your glove compartment and next to your flashlight there should be a button you can push left or right to lock your trunk internally. check to see if that is locked.

and if you ever have the factory alarm installed; you'll lose the trunk release function completely from the FOB. Hold the button in long enough and you'll wake the neighbors.

Ah, I'll check for that - no mention in the manual (or I might have missed it lol)

You could well be on the right lines there TH, I read holding the tailgate release button for >3 secs sets off panic mode.

You must have a different spec to uk cars which as far as I know all come with an alarm fitted as standard

Mine is an 06, the UK cars do not have panic on fob and also no glovebox switch.

I press mine and even with the car locked the boot pops, but visually its not open, you have to raise it up manually.

And then when I close it the alarm just reseals the whole car.

Its a pain that it doesn't rise up, but otherwise I have no issues. Sounds like you need yours checked.

I don't know if we have a panic feature.. not really ever held the buttons to check. But if I hold the boot button, it will open it.

OK....I've had the time to check the locking - and the boot pops remotely if the car is unlocked - which I can live with
