Simota Induction Kit ?

Right, I'm seriously contemplating getting this:

http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/Onl...imota_902.html

I love the noise my car makes, but I wish it was a little less subdued from the drivers seat. I'm hoping this will unleash the engine note a little.

However, I've never fitted anything like this before and if it dont' work it's a fair amount of cash down the drain.

Can anyone advise me? Good or bad plan?

Was also thinking of getting the carbon diffuser:

Any ideas how the old one comes off and this one goes on?

Simon go for the Simota but i for one wud skip the diffuser part, it will become more apparent that the diffuser is just for show. however the rear diffuser area looks much better and deeper than the e92 and judging by pics ive seen on Remmibs car it might be ok!

ive been told by the guy i use at the BMW paint shop that it comes on and off very quickly so much so that they didnt charge me for it when i regretably decided to have them colour code mine. perhaps an e90 might be different?

ever thought about a short shift for your next mod to go with the Simota intake rather than the diffuser? youd get much more enjoyment out of it rather than the moment of cleaning dirt off your lovely carbon diffuser every week?!?! jsut a thought

Thanks for the reply.

The engine note on the 330i is lovely, so I don't want to change it. I just want to hear a little more of it from the drivers seat.

Do you think the Simota will achieve that?

The paintwork and window trims on my car are all gloss black and the carbon diffuser idea was just to 'gloss' up the appearance of the matt plastic stock part. Fairly inexpensive as well.

I have looked at the short shifter, but to be honest the msport set up feels pretty good to me. I'm not sure I'd get much out of it.

Any more advice?

I think that the induction system is one of the best upgrades for a non-turbo petrol engine!
You should have a look at the BMW Performance accessories too....
