the air filter change is very easy... could do that yourself in 10 minutes plus the cost of the filter ?
I've no idea what's involved on an Interval one though... SJ |

Problem is if you miss the interval check then you don't have a full service history as laid out in the book.
Unless the service guy will tick the 'interval check' box in your service book on the basis you've just had an MOT then you'll still need to have the check done strictly speaking. Even though its just a quick on-the-ramp check over done in 5 minutes. An MOT is a non vehicle specific statutory safety inspection, not a manufacturer approved service check, but as you're out of warranty its not so vital. BTW brake fluid change is every 2 years or xxx miles, so with your low mileage car you should have had yours done in 2008 and not be due for another till 2010? What do you mean by 'amber one half full'? which light is that? |

find a decent independant, even when they run diagnostics all they seem to do is a parts chase (at your expense) until the diagnostic tells them its fixed
hope it gets sorted... |

Good luck with the "warranty" claim...as everytime, I'm in a dealership and near the Service Dept. I always hear those stealers say "UNFORTUNATELY, THIS IS NOT COVERED BY THE BMW WARRANTY" and theres another good one aswell " OUR DEALERSHIP WARRANTY AND BMW UK WILL NOT COVER THIS ..."
1 thing, that is definitely covered by the BMW manufacturers warranty is BULLSHIT. |

Good news - that shows the benefit of a full dealer service history - that's the first thing BMW would look for when considering a goodwill claim. I think you can be very pleased with that outcome.

This is my 1st time and I hope I am in the right place.
Just got a 320i se 2007 and it is due a 15000 service. I intend to change oil / filter / air filter as a basic service. I have never done a BMW before so here is the question..... Where is the oil filter? How do I get to the air filter? Thanks in advance |

With respect, if you are having trouble locating those items, I'd have thoight you'd be better entrusting the work to a dealer/specialist workshop - seeing as though you have a 2007 car - still under warranty.......

Same as every other car. Air filter is inside the airfilter box, drain oil from sump plug. Oil filter is a canister, as most new modern cars. Can be seen in the engine bay
