Opinions about the Alpina D3?
Hi everyone I'm new around here. Thinking about getting an Alpina D3 as a second car. Anyone have any experience with these & what's your opinion?
Any thoughts most welcome |

I saw the review of this car in EVO I think it was and it did look a good package. Kinda like the 320 si ... but in Diesel form. If I was in the market for BMW "D" then I would seriously consider this car as you're getting an exclusive car that looks great, will no doubt handle superbly and carries the BMW badge. Nice 18" alloys too |

The only thing that would put me off is that if you want to option it up it's then a special order and there is supposedly quite a price hike for this.
However, if you're in the market for an exclusive diesel and the spec. suits, or you have the money then it looks like a brilliant car. Isn't is also cheaper than a 320d MSport?

Alpina certainly make some wonderful machines, D3 no exception
However, I personally don't take much of a liking towards cars that have the "tuned" look - I prefer stock designs, perhaps because there is an air of "original & untouched" about them, but that's just me. What specific purposes are you buying for? |

I can't commit to the meet right now but it sounds like a fun day - will try and make it.
The car will be primarily for my wife (runaround for the kids etc.). |
