Any e90's upgrade sway bars to OEM M3?

Please chime in some advice... I am considering to do this mod., and I see that the DINAN Size is the same... DID THEY JUST PAINT THEM?

Do you feel a difference?
Will it break other components that are not upgraded?

should any of the other components be changed to m-spec while swapping out the sways (front + rear)?

I have UUCs and would not recommend them at all. They are far too stiff for the car limiting the BMW-engineered mechanical grip the car likes. OVERKILL. They're hug bars but bigger is not better.

UUC will tell you how they get rid of understeer and make turn in sharper. This is correct to a degree. Once you start driving fast the loss of the BMW-engineered grip starts rearing it's head.

No matter what the performance gains or losses might be they have consistently loosened up and cause a lot of noise. Not worth it.

You should definitely look at getting the M3 bars. but don't look at sways as a big upgrade. If you can, work on other areas of the suspension then put sways on last. And definitely have someone spec and install suspension that has a lot of experience.

Hey, do you know the width of the UUC of hand? Both Dinan and M3's are the same width... 26.5MM front

Not sure. They don't list it on the UUC site that I could find.

They have proven to come loose over short periods of time. That alone would sway me from using them.

They talk about how race teams use them successfully but we're talking big camber, slicks, race suspension and so on.

Go with the M3 bar. Sways are for fine tuning not changing your car drastically.
