you guys are all just haters.... just cause he didn't say safe doesn't mean it was going to blow up the car..... glad to see someone pushing limits.. blah blah blah blah.....
there .. i covered it .... we had the war.... now i'm going to go back and wait for my beta map from shiv to show up tomorrow and enjoy my proceed... and take comfort in the fact that i don't lose an ounce of sleep over what a procede might do to my car.... vs that 'other tune'.... and for the record... i don't have any doubt that the procede could be 'turned up' to match...... i think it's wise not to..... in other words ... he didn't say 'safely' in there anywhere |

I think it's more of what other device he used on his car than how much boost he pushed

Terry has the Meth kit installed now.
I looked it over a few days ago. Neat little contraption in his trunk. It has a small 1-1.5 gallon tank in it. Terry is using denatured Alcohol in it instead of the Meth. My guess is the psi was somewhere in the 17.5 psi range, along with all his other supporting mods his car has. You'll see dynos from Terry soon I'm sure. |

The only part I disagree with is the 'pushing his car so we don't have to' .... what seems to happen is that we tend to get these claims...and VERY soon after without any significant testing... it seems to be the new standard for JB3 customers... (i know they can always run other maps too....) but i'm curious how many buy a JB3 due to the claims of 450 wtq or whatever then choose to run a weaker map for safety.. didn't seem all that many were running the crazy high maps on that poll.... but if they do run high maps... they are also pushing it as well... do they know they are pushing it for the rest of us too ???? i hope they do.... nobody doubts that he is pushing it.... fine... .. it's just not for me... the really annoying part is that while pushing it.... the whole timing control debacle .... the fact that we don't get a lot of detail from either shiv or terry (no offense to either) as to what they are doing behind the scenes...etc.. it makes it really hard to decide what is safe/not safe... hard to have an informed/educated opinion....etc... that's just why i will rest on the side of the guy with more history/experience with my $15,000 engine.... i'm all good... not trying to argue.... in fact i almost wanna slap myself for typing this much.... just trying to explain more what i meant... i'm done..... nothing against terry.... |

Knowing that it is from a specific car, that car can't seem to hold more than a certain amount of boost (~19 psi). I predict at about 17-18psi max.
